Lenzie Woodhead Gymnastics Club SCIO

We are delighted to announce that as of the 23rd of November 2015 LWGC moved from being an unincorporated club to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (“SCIO”).

The move to SCIO will provide the club with charitable status along with a more formal structure. From the outside the running of the club will be no different with the committee members carrying on within the same roles and responsibilities, these roles undertaken within the title of Trustees of the Club. You may see some differences on official communications but our gymnasts will still experience the same fun and quality training as ever.

The granting of charitable status for the club will enable access to a much wider number of funding sources, having both its own legal identity and be able to hold and own property in its own right.

The formal legal status will involve more governance with the club requiring to submit annual accounts to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), the sole regulator for charities in Scotland.

Our registered charity number is SC046153

Keep an eye out over the next few months for news on ways in which the club will benefit from this change.

Hamilton Development Comp

More good luck wishes this week, this time to our Development squad who are competing in Hamilton today. Its the first time competing for many of our gymnasts so we hope you all have fun.

Remember to smile and point your toes!
