About the club

Lenzie Woodhead Gymnastics Club (SCIO) has been running since the early 1970s when the original training venue was the girls and boys gyms of Lenzie Academy. It was known as Lenzie GC then and had Artistic and Sports Acro sections as well as Rhythmic. Many coaches and parents of current gymnasts will probably remember this well.

Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre became the new training venue for the club in August 2007 and has been key to the development of the club and where we are now.

Currently, we have Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Competitive, Display, Floor & Vault and Recreational squads as well as a Men’s General Gymnastics squad.

We train on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with start and finish times varying between 6 and 8.30pm during the week and between 9 and 11.30am on Sunday. Different groups and squads of gymnasts train on different combinations of sessions, depending upon their abilities and interest.

Entry to the club is by trial and any prospective members should contact the Club Secretary, who can be reached via the contact us  page or by emailing lenziewoodheadgc@gmail.com

We hold trials on a monthly basis with feedback provided to all who attend. Entry is usually at the Recreational level with progress to Display or even Competitive Squad by invitation of the Head Coach only.

Above all, we always enjoy our gymnastics!

Lenzie Woodhead Gymnastics Club (SCIO) is a registered charity (SC046153) and is GymMark accredited.
